Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers!

Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers

Join us and stop the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) in Lake George!
You can help protect Lake George for generations to come by preventing the spread of these and other species.

Prevention: Easy as Clean, Drain & Dry!

We are encouraged by all who continue to make a positive impact by following three easy steps after boating and before launching in Lake George.

Before coming to Lake George, it is most important that your boat, trailer, or other watercrafts are free of any aquatic invasive species (AIS). We may unknowingly and unintentionally carry AIS from one body of water to Lake George. Aquatic invasive species can be attached and hide on virtually anything that they come in contact with. From fishing gear to kayaks, boat trailers, outboard motor components, buckets and live wells, bilge pump compartments, and other nooks and crannies, AIS may be hiding.

We invite you to learn more about how you can join the movement to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species in Lake George.
