We are encouraged by everyone who continues to make a positive impact on Lake George water quality by following these three easy steps after boating and before launching in Lake George.

Before coming to Lake George, it is critical that your boat, trailer, or other watercraft is free of any aquatic invasive species (AIS). We could unknowingly and unintentionally carry AIS from one body of water into Lake George. AIS can attach to or hide on virtually anything that they come in contact with – from fishing gear to kayaks, boat trailers, outboard motor components, buckets and live wells, bilge pump compartments, and other nooks and crannies.

All trailered vessels are required to be inspected at a regional inspection facility before launching into Lake George.

Join us and stop the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) in Lake George!

You can help protect Lake George for generations to come by preventing the spread of these and other invasive species.
